State Library of Florida

FLIN SHAREit is a statewide interlibrary loan service that can be used by libraries in Florida.

The platform has been funded under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, so there are no upfront costs to Florida libraries.

FLIN SHAREit is backed by Auto-Graphics' SHAREit™ resource-sharing software. This platform will display participating libraries' catalogs to patrons, no matter what ILS is in use, making it possible for patrons from all types of libraries to discover items they need.

If your ILS vendor does not offer a Z39.50 connection, or you decide not to use it, your library can still participate in FLIN SHAREit by uploading a file of MARC records for the items that you are willing to lend. Then they can be searched as a part of the union catalog.

For FY2021-22, the percentage of total costs for the State Library and Statewide Resource Sharing program financed with federal money is 66%; the federal dollar amount to be spent on the program is $1,656,577. Local match, which includes non-governmental funding, is $742,070.31.
